Peppered Candied Pecans

Serves: 2 cups
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • dash of cayenne
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • ¼ cup real maple syrup
  • 2 cups whole pecans
  1. Preheat oven to 300F degrees . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon, paprika, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a large bowl, toss pecans with maple syrup until well coated. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the pecans, and toss until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer pecans to the baking sheet, and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool, remove from pan, and store in an air-tight container.
